Build a complete stud bolt list for ASME B16.5, B16.47 (Series A and B) and API 6A flanges in a minute. Add each flange by size, pressure class and facing, choose a stud material and coating, and the builder works out stud diameter and length, studs per joint and heavy hex nuts. Add gaskets if you need them, then send the whole list to us for a quote. Values are for reference; confirm against the current edition of ASME B16.5, B16.47 or API 6A and your site procedure.

- Stud counts, diameters and lengths follow ASME B16.5. Raised face lengths are for a 0.06 in raised face in Class 150 and 300 and a 0.25 in raised face in Class 400 and above. Class 400 in NPS 3-1/2 and smaller uses Class 600 bolting.
- ASME B16.47 lengths use the same raised face heights (0.06 in for Class 150 and 300, 0.25 in for Class 400 and above). Series A and Series B flanges are not interchangeable, so confirm the series of the mating flange. Ring joint is listed for Series A Class 300 to 900, NPS 26 to 36. Series B Class 400 to 900 is listed through NPS 36; for larger sizes or Series B Class 75, send us the details.
- API 6A flanges are ring joint only. Stud counts, diameters, lengths and ring numbers follow API 6A for Type 6B flanges (2,000 to 5,000 psi; R or RX rings) and Type 6BX flanges (BX rings). For 6BX flanges API 6A lists a minimum stud length. Confirm against the current edition of API 6A.
- Standard lengths do not allow for washers. When washers are selected you can choose to add 1/4 in to each stud length.

- Studs column: studs per joint × diameter-thread × length, in inches.
- Threads: UNC through 1 in, 8UN above 1 in. Nuts are heavy hex to ASME B18.2.2.
- All gaskets on this list, including soft, spiral wound, kammprofile and RTJ gaskets, are supplied by Patriot Bolt. Patriot Bolt machines specialty RTJ rings.
- Gasket quantities are one per joint plus the spares you selected. RTJ gaskets apply only to ASME ring joint and API 6A flanges; all other gaskets apply to raised face flanges. Ring numbers follow ASME B16.20 and API 6A; B16.5 Class 400 uses the Class 600 ring.
