Patriot Bolt machines Inconel 718 stud bolts from certified round bar for joints that need very high strength along with corrosion and heat resistance. Alloy 718 (UNS N07718) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy strengthened with niobium. After solution treatment and aging it reaches strength comparable to alloy steel and keeps it to about 1300 °F.
We make Inconel 718 studs to ASTM B637, AMS 5662 / 5663, API 6A718 or your drawing. Every order ships with mill test reports traceable to the heat.

Why Engineers Specify Inconel 718 Stud Bolts
Most corrosion-resistant stud materials trade away strength. Inconel 718 does not. That makes it the usual choice when a stud must carry high preload in a corrosive or hot joint.
- High strength. Aged 718 has roughly the yield strength of B7 or higher, so studs can often stay the same size when upgrading from alloy steel.
- Heat resistance. It keeps strength and resists relaxation to about 1300 °F, which is why it is common in gas turbines and aerospace.
- Sour service. In the oilfield condition, 718 is used in H2 service.

Inconel 718 Stud Bolt FAQ
Is Inconel 718 stronger than Inconel 625?
Yes. Aged 718 has more than twice the minimum yield strength of annealed 625. 625 is chosen when pitting and crevice corrosion resistance matter more than strength.
What is API 6A718?
It is the API standard for Alloy 718 used in oil and gas drilling and production equipment. It controls chemistry, heat treatment and hardness so the material suits sour service.
Can 718 studs replace B7 studs?
Often, yes. Aged 718 has a minimum yield equal to or above B7, but confirm the stud size and preload with your engineer.
Do you make matching nuts?
Yes. We also machine Inconel 718 nuts.
